I will be running for the Florida House of Representatives District 47 Seat and would welcome an opportunity to establish a District 47 Community Alliance that includes all civic associations in the 47th District to include, but not limited to:
- Lutz,
- Cheval,
- Heritage Harbor,
- Villa Rosa,
- Keystone,
- Trinity,
- East Lake,
- Northdale,
- Westchase,
- Citrus Park,
- Greater Carrollwood.
My rationale behind establishing a District 47 Community Alliance is to establish a structured forum by which the public, associations, and civic groups can meet, establish a rapport with others, present their issues and discuss their issues. Once an understanding of the issue is registered, the alliance can better identify the necessary resources and professional network that will be required to provide further clarity, action, or closure to the issue.
Also, this forum helps us as a defined district. There are many issues, concerns, and positive interaction/results that each area experiences and seeks to share with others. This is information! This sharing allows us all, with the help of others, to validate the issues, explore the solutions, and enact an action plan. Positive interactions/results, that are shared, provide an indication that our efforts are not futile, but well worthwhile!
In northwest Hillsborough County, we are faced with issues that affect us all, not just a specific community. I believe, as an organized alliance, we can achieve our objectives, overcome our challenges, and represent our communities with the support of the many, not the few.
There are many details to work out and I encourage your feedback and participation. Meetings would be scheduled, every other month, and held at different community sites.
